I first encountered doTerra's Console essential oil blend in a yoga class several months ago. At the time, we were lying in savasana at the end of class, and the instructor came around and massaged some of the blend into our temples. I felt my energy rise up through my chakras and into my crown chakra. Loving that feeling, I immediately ordered some. According to doTerra, the blend was created to comfort people during times of loss, and with its ability to uplift energy, I can certainly see how it would work for that. I like to use it as a meditation blend, and I've added it to a homemade pillow spray to facilitate dream messages from the Divine. I also use a few drops in the bath for a similar purpose. The blend contains many essential oils associated with the crown and third eye chakras, including frankincense, sandalwood, ylang ylang, and patchouli, among others. I love how it smells, and I find it lifts my spirits and helps me maintain my focus on peace, joy, and higher guidance. I like using it along with phenacite crystals for profound meditations. I highly recommend it if you are doing work with the sixth or seventh chakras, or for doTerra's stated purpose when you need comfort. At $50 for a 5 mL bottle, the cost is a little steep, but a little goes a very long way. I use it frequently and only need to order a new bottle about every six months or longer. Cost: About $50 for 5mL Rating: 5/5 stars

This oracle deck from Colette Baron-Reid is one of my new favorites. Released in October of 2017 by Hay House, the deck features 52 postcards with themed messages. While I haven't read them all, I've been using the deck daily for about a month now, and every card I have pulled has said exactly the right thing, telling me what I need to hear in the moment. The cards are written as personal messages to you on the back of a postcard, and the deck is attractive and well made. Each message is thoughtful and full of gentle wisdom from spirit. The deck also comes with a short booklet offering tips for using the deck. I use it as a point of focus after my morning meditation. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, set my intention, and pull the card. It's that simple, and I always walk away inspired and reminded all of the many ways in which the universe conspires in our favor. I highly recommend this deck. Cost: About $16 Rating: 5/5 stars - Highly recommended |
